What Is Breast Surgery?
Breast surgery covers procedures that change the size, shape, position, or contents of the breast. That includes reducing volume, lifting and repositioning tissue, adding volume with implants, revising a result from a previous surgery, or removing implants entirely. Some of these procedures are pursued for comfort and symptom relief, others for appearance, and often for both at once. What matters is that the plan matches your anatomy and your goals.

Our surgeon performs the following breast procedures:
- Breast reduction for patients whose breast weight is causing neck, back, and shoulder pain, numbness in the hands and forearms from nerve compression, or persistent skin rashes. Reduction can relieve those symptoms while restoring a proportional shape.
- Mastopexy, or breast lift, to reposition and reshape breasts affected by age, pregnancy, or weight loss without necessarily changing volume.
- Breast augmentation for patients who want additional volume to better match their body profile, with a wide range of implant types, shapes, and sizes available.
- Revision of breast surgery for patients whose earlier result has changed over time or never quite matched what they wanted in the first place.
- Breast implant removal, including removal of the surrounding capsular tissue, for patients experiencing implant related problems or who simply no longer want the added volume.
What to Expect

Can breast reduction help with back and shoulder pain?
For many patients it does. Excess breast weight can strain the neck, back, and shoulders, compress peripheral nerves, and cause skin rashes underneath. Reduction removes that weight, and patients often describe meaningful relief from symptoms alongside the change in shape.
What is the difference between a breast lift and augmentation?
A breast lift repositions and reshapes existing tissue without adding volume. Augmentation adds volume with an implant. Some patients need one, some need both, and our surgeon will explain which combination may achieve the result you are describing.
Can I have breast implants removed?
Yes. Implant removal is available, including removal of the surrounding capsular tissue when appropriate. Patients pursue this for implant related problems or simply because the added volume no longer suits their body profile. Our surgeon will discuss what removal may mean for shape.
Can a previous breast surgery result be revised?
