Dr. Fang, a proud native of Albany, GA, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Hawaii Dermatology & Surgery. After excelling in high school, he pursued his passion for science at Harvard University, earning a degree in biochemical sciences before continuing his medical education at Harvard Medical School.
He honed his skills in plastic and reconstructive surgery during his residency at the prestigious University of Michigan Hospital. Dr. Fang further enhanced his expertise through two advanced fellowships in Microsurgery and Peripheral Nerve Reconstruction over two years at the renowned Chang Gung Memorial Hospital with a focus on oncologic and trauma reconstruction using advanced microsurgical techniques.
Board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Fang is committed to delivering exceptional patient care. His extensive contributions to the field include numerous peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters, underscoring his dedication to advancing medical knowledge. With over 18 years of experience, patients can trust Dr. Fang’s comprehensive training and passion for achieving outstanding, natural results.
After starting his career in New York City as a faculty surgeon at both the Mount Sinai Hospital and James J. Peters VA Hospital, Dr. Fang relocated to Oahu in 2021, bringing expertise in both the reconstructive and aesthetic surgical realms.
In his free time, Dr. Fang enjoys spending quality time on the beaches and outdoors around the island with his family.
